Bioreceptive Textiles is a project initiated in 2021 (and ongoing) by the studio Inside Outside with whom Margherita collaborated in 2022 throughout the duration of the Bouwen aan talent grant from Stimulerings Fonds.

The project entailed hands-on research to develop bioreceptive textiles: flexible biomaterials on which you can grow organisms and plants, in particular mosses. Several bio-based materials properties were tested in order to create welcoming surfaces for mosses to grow on.
More information about this project is captured here in an interview by Victoria Anastasyadis or on Inside Outside’s website here.
