‘Corrimano’ is a sensorial installation inspired from the previous collection “The Skin is an Extension of the Brain”
Corrimano is meant to alter standard architectural elements, to stimulate the sense of touch and to reflect on the behaviour of the visitors within the space.
The work wants to generate awareness of the fact that our body is a lively sensory system that interacts with the world to produce a personalized habitat. Margherita envisions the body as a platform that produces experiences. To show this vision she spent the past few years researching specific materials and textures which could give the right sensorial effect and combined them with textile-manipulation techniques to work them into sensorial surfaces.
